Finally Fixed?

Yahoo! The Vespa has returned with a brand new speedometer. Is it truly fixed? I have to say no. Though there were issues with the original speedometer it’s still not perfect. The old speedometer would read slower than the actual speed. Now, it reads faster but at least it showing that the scooter is moving. When speaking with the dealer she said that most speedometers run a little fast and the manufacturer will also tell you this. Ok, but at least it’s working. I had about 200 miles on my scooter. Now, I’m back down to less than 10 with the new speedometer. At least it’s corrected and it also got it’s first oil change/tune up. All should be working and it looks like it’s suppose to be a nice weekend.

Tomorrow the scooter goes into the shop. Believe it or not to have the speedometer replaced. It’s about time.

July Update

Well nothing has changed. I’ve been busy with family issues, work etc and have not had a moment to go on my first ride. The speedometer still not in sight. My husband has been riding my scooter to the get miles up and then we’ll take it in for it’s first checkup. But, he did notice that the gas guage doesn’t work properly. Could this be tied into the speedometer? I have no idea. Grrr…

Speedometer Issues

Well to date I still don’t have the speedometer. Yesterday we stopped by the scooter shop and I guess the LXV150 does have some issues with the speedometer. The scooter shop was told that 3 speedometer housing units were being shipped into the U.S. One will be mine I guess. They won’t be here until the end of the month.

Speedometer Is Almost Here

I received word that all of the parts for the speedometer are here except for the housing unit. Because my scooter is in a new color they don’t have the piece in the correct color.

Slowly The Weekend Fades

Once again the powers that be are having me do other things. As of right now it looks like I still won’t have my first legal scooter ride.

I went and played.. Attended a wine tasting had an unplanned lunch with friends from out of town. Yes, I should’ve rode the scooter but seriously it was too far for my first time on the road. Oh well…

Tomorrow we’ll be heading down to Doyle’s to watch soccer and check out Scooter Insanity. Will I ride the scooter? Nope.. I want to get down early and have some beer. At this time drinking and soccer is the highlight. …. GRrr….

Hopes Of A Scootering Weekend

I heard that the weather should be nice this weekend. I’m terribly excited that I may get to hit the road for the first time. Woohoo!! I’m nervous but I figured if I get out early enough it should be great.

As for the speedometer from Italy. Almost another week has gone by and no call that the part is in.
